When you want to give the sense that time passes, switch into a transitional scene. The only trick here (as far as I can tell), is making the transitional scene feel like it has some weight, so that it isn’t just a single sentence (“You make your way to…”) – since that’s not a scene, that’s a sentence. A scene can be an interlude, or it can be “Lily, what obstacles did you encounter? Rotem, how did you overcome it?”, or it can be a full pre-written paragraph. It doesn’t have to take more than a minute or two in real time, since it’s all about perception.

The Australian Bushfire Relief Charity Bundles

DriveThruRPG is having a big bundle sale, with all earnings going to charities fighting and helping with the bushfire crisis in Australia. One of my Three Suggestions PDFs is available through the Fantasy Supplements bundle. (and also to all of our patrons)

We bought 3 (!) of the bundles, and because there’s lots of stuff there, I wrote some first impressions to help you decide if you want to pay for these.
