After everything that happened – who are the Agents, now?
Being a Syn Agent was the only thing Mac cared about. He had to be one – because his original heart was failing – and the only way he knew how to be an Agent is to fully commit to the role. At home, they taught him that he must adhere to his duties, whatever they are, and be the best cog-in-the-machine that he can be. His sister became an exemplar officer, his brother rebelled and now tries to break the system, but during Mac’s adventures he has found a new in-between path – simply not taking it too much, well, to heart.
You can take some time to yourself, to give priority to your own wants and needs. In fact, you have to, to maintain your mental health. Syn can wait, because you come first. That’s not always the case – sometimes you might need to take a very big risk to your own life and sanity, for the betterment of others – but those times are the exception, not the rule, and they need to be your choice, not your default. Start with you, and how far you’re willing and able to give, filling up until you reach the border between you and Syn, and don’t let Syn invade. Definitely don’t let it claim it’s doing so for your good.

Professional comics artist Aviv Or who for some reason has been drawing Crystal Heart for 7 years for free is drawing the new mini-series from Critical Role – The Tales of Exandria II–Artagan! The first issue is already out, with three more to follow. Look for it in your friendly local comics shop.
